Hey! Welcome to my little neck of the woods! Or should I say forest? I’m not sure, I had to replant all this.
Howdy y’all! It’s been a bit since I had a blog so lemme catch y’all up to speed.
Little Bio about me. I’m Charlie, I’ve been playing Minecraft since alpha back in… 2010? We were playing it back in my Votech class on a friend’s account. Woof, it was rough, lots of bugs. It’s amazing how far its come.
Over the years through college, I played a lot of solo time, when they released server access I was soooo excited to play with other like minded Minecraft addicts. I made a many good friends, some I still talk to to this day over 12 years later!
I’ve gone through many, many, many servers. Some I’ve spent months and months on, until the owner disappears and they stop paying the bills for the server. This leaves the server to die out and disappear.
Longest server I managed to play on was I believe.. NationCraft? For about 4 months. Here’s a quick video of the month long Giant(think mob, not size) mansion. I never did finish it before the server died. I’d spent so many hours on it I earned one of the top ranks in the server to get fly. Ugh, I wish that had happened much sooner. Mind you, this was not a creative server, I had to import all these blocks in by hand, and smelt all the stone myself.
From then on, I quit Minecraft for about… 10ish years. I went to focus on college, was going through a rough relationship, and just felt burnt out on the game after that disastrous end. Very unfair how that ended off. I’m still upset to this day, but at least I managed to get video proof it exists! (pardon the voice, this was per-transition)
Recently I saw an author(https://bsky.app/profile/debbieohi.com) I follow over on BlueSky (What I shorten down to Bsky) post about TogetherCraft! Together craft has been around for about five years (wow I’ve never seen a server live that long! And this active!!)
I’m loving it so far, the server is super nice and friendly, they’re very welcoming of newbies and will share all the knowledge and excess gear they have with newbies. They’ve been ever so kind with me helping me catch up on all the new technology of the game. O.M.G. I’ve never had this great of an experience with a server. They even say ‘Welcome Back’ when you log in, no matter how many times in the past 10 minutes (stupid lag).
At this time, I’ve been on about a week. Finally talked Ms RozyZanadu (ah-em, my lovely missus) to joining me, and perhaps some day my lovely other partner Jik0? Maybe, We’ll have to see.
For Now I’m going to go back to mining and will have updates for you soon!
